Poke War

Ever been poked on Facebook?
Probably.
My friends and I poke each other constantly. We even get a little bit into it sometimes and write long lengthy wall posts about some poke war we are supposedly engaged in.

Cast:
Gene Raynor = Brody D.
Chase Turner = Chase T.
John Pookes Alots = Me
Assorted Generals Mentioned = Other people who are randomly engaged in the poke war.

This is unedited, just copy n' paste from Facebook:

Poke War Journal Day 158:
Last night we were the last to return fire last night. Not often that we can do that since the enemy has the time advantage of being 3 hours behind us. Luckily nights like last night, the enemy likes to turn in early. We were awoken with a new barrage of pokes from the enemy; our time advantage doesn't seem to help at all. The activity in the morning has been light. As the day goes on, the pokes become worse, picking up in intensity. I would not have made it this far in the war if it weren't for the enemy seemingly disappearing several weeks ago for unknown reasons. During that time the majority of our troops were able to leave the battlefield and resupply and get our morals back up. Of course we didn't all leave at once, we left behind minimal forces to handle what stragglers were left by the enemy. I'm not sure how much longer we will be able to stay out here awaiting the next wave. We would not have made it this far if it weren't for the brief break we had as previously mentioned. The maddening thing is that the enemy has no real strategy. Even our most skilled and veteran analysts can only make the attacks out as "sporadic." There's no real pattern to them, making predictions pretty much impossible. All we can do it wait for the next attack and counter attack as soon as possible. It's been quiet on their side. Too quiet...

I got Dropbox today from a friend who wanted extra space by referring someone.
I wonder how useful this will be?

Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Game name is in the title, this game looks really scary, and really fun. I watched a little video of people pooping their pants over it on Lycosa's Blog. Feel free to check his stuff out if you head over there. But yeah, this game looks nifty, almost as nifty as Minecraft...

Also, I love me some rain, thunder, and lightning.

Edit: Seems rather fitting that I would post about a scary game on October 1st!

World Of Warcraft: Patch 4.0.3a

Today is September 30th 2010, the patch 4.0.3a is expected in exactly 5 days, on October 5th 2010.
I've been playing World of Warcraft since the end of 2007. The Azeroth I've run around in for so long is about to radically changed for presumably forever, I guess I'll go on one last nostalgic screenshot run of the continents. I'll miss you old world, but on to the new, and the updated content.

RIP - Old Azeroth

So, Minecraft.

So...I did end up getting Minecraft, and its pretty much exactly what I was expecting. I could sit around and write a huge chunk of text on the game but instead...I'll just make this tiny post saying that its awesome, becuase I'm too lazy tonight to put up pictures of my compound and mining cavern.

Feeling A Bit Awesome?

There's this website about called Endless YouTube, it's wonderful.
It will endlessly (obviously) loop either a full youtube video, or a part of a youtube video.
I can't really see it being very practice for watching a loop over and over, its more useful for looping audio together. If this sounds interesting, go play around with it.

Here are some of my favorite video's to loop, and play usually in some order together.

If you liked those in tangent, these might also be to your liking.

I Want Minecraft

So, I've been watching this guy's Lets Play's of Minecraft lately.
All I can really say, is that I want to play this game so badly. I haven't gotten around to buying it yet, but I will. I don't want to try and torrent it because it just seems like it wouldn't work, plus I hear the game is made and developed by just one guy. So I'm sure he deserves the cash anyways.

This is a video of the guy I was talking about watching.

I'm going to make a house by the water, maybe my own little Island. I'll have a separate mine. No reason to have a mine shaft in my house, right? Seems silly.

First Post

Well, I'm not 100% sure what this blog is going to be about yet.
I'll figure it out on the way maybe.
I think I'll begin by just posting about stuff I find interesting every once and awhile.
Maybe I'll post about what I've been doing lately as well.
We'll see how that goes.
